Rocky, Nietsche and Emerson on Mindset

Mindset
Came across this quick video from the Rocky Balboa film and thought it had a great message (skip to 1:22 for the heart of it).
While Rocky is giving his son a little "Big Picture" insight, his words also brought to mind some concepts we have seen from (in)famous philosophers.
Nietsche described the Uber person: "virtuous, loyal, ambitious and out-spoken......Above all he is passionate. He believes in the moral imperative to defend ideals such as truth, beauty, honor and justice. He is self-assured. He is a risk taker. He regards suffering as salutary and scorns the path of least resistance."
Emerson quipped, "whoso would be a man most be a nonconformist....What I most do is all that concerns me, not what people think......you will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know it..."
Paraphrasing Rocky, Nietsche and Emerson, we should strive to live authentic lives. Life is absurd at times, arbitrary, and perhaps cruel, yet in spite of all the hurdles and people putting a finger in our chest, the responsibility falls squarely on OUR shoulders to be true to ourselves!
To do the right things for the right reasons, even if they are only known by us. To live in accordance with our own principles, morals and standards, regardless of what "society" says.
Stay Driven and..... Live Authentic Lives,
